Gallbladder & Common Bile Duct Ultrasound. Ultrasound is the imaging modality of choice for most biliary tree pathologies. However, since the gallbladder is not fixed to the body wall like other GI organs, it can have a variety of positions in the right upper quadrant (RUQ), so getting a good view can be tricky.
