26 sie 2014 · The DB-160 is not going to be quite as good as a 6" f8 with true parabolic mirror and you probably have a sky good enough to let that difference show.
The Galileo DB-160 Telescope features an optical tube assembly with a 1300mm focal length x 160mm diameter primary mirror, and a heavy duty mirror cell with push / pull collimation screws. The primary mirror is fully aluminized with 92% reflectivity and has a Silicon Monoxide Quartz overcoat which protects the coating.
It's a bit much magnification (1300/6~=217x) but if atmospheric seeing is good (and the telescope collimated) it can be great for moon and planets. A 9mm would show 144x. As for in-between, there's the HR Planetary series. Either will provide better views than a Plössl and a cheap barlow (which will ad chromatic aberration).

16 maj 2018 · So it's a Galileo DB-160 f1300x160mm. It came with the 25mm astroscopic and 1.8 Barlow lenses. I just took it apart and cleaned it. The mirror is in Excellent condition. Before I did all this I took a look at the moon and the quality was pretty damn good considering the mirror and lenses weren't cleaned very well.
