I went to Gaijinpot and found some fitting 1K apartments. One agency called J-Homes contacted me after my inquiry, but I can't find any information about them and the website that gaijinpot links to, doesn't work.
I found an apartment and arranged a viewing with the landlord with GaijinPot. It was a really tiny Leo Palace apartment in like Sumida for about 92,000円 a month. I just got a Japanese speaking friend and went elsewhere.
I have found some good offers on Gaijinpot. Does anyone know if they are any good for this kind of stuff? Also I have heard that it can be dangerous to rent without a deposit since they can charge you anything they want for damage.
8 kwi 2018 · 1. Gaijinpot Forums: One thing that gave hope to people who wanted to come to Japan was the Gaijinpot Forum. I have to admit that there were a lot of trolls and that the majority of comments and threads were rubbish, but there were some good posts and lots of valuable and helpful responses, too.

18 lis 2010 · Also helpful, GaijinPot runs a forum for people to exchange information informally. If you have a question you can’t find the answer to elsewhere on the site, or want a different type of advice, you can ask forum members (though at your own risk, of course).
