PUA Reconsideration. The federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program ended in Georgia with week ending June 26, 2021. However, claimants may be eligible for reconsideration of a denied PUA claim based on expanded allowable reasons provided by the Continued Assistance for Unemployed Workers Act of 2020 (Continued Assistance Act).

The Cont. Assistance Act of 2020 requires individuals who received PUA benefits on or after 12/27/2020 to provide proof of employment/self-employment or a valid offer to begin employment along with proof of wages. UPDATE: On 5/7 I got another letter in the mail from DOL GA stating my weekly benefit amount and potential weeks of PUA. If you get these two letters, consider yourself approved. The wording is vague but says you’re now eligible for the PUA benefits and total amount you can get weekly.
My PUA claim in the state of GA was from 02/02/20 - 06/26/21. As instructed by my assigned agent, I submitted a regular UI claim first, which was approved for 26 weeks of $365/week on 06/19/20. Then on 06/22/20 I was approved for a PUA claim for 13 weeks of $365/week which was extended by 22 weeks.
