The Claim Status Tracker was developed to show a claimant where you are in the unemployment benefit claim process and what your next steps will be. You can watch the Claim Status Tracker bar in your MyUI Claimant Portal for changes in color and descriptions of your claim status.
Effective June 27, 2021, the state of Georgia is no longer participating in the PUA program. The last payable week ending date for PUA benefits was June 26, 2021. Step 1: Individual files a regular state unemployment claim.
The MyUI Claimant Portal (MyUI) allows claimants to access online unemployment insurance (UI) services, such as, file a claim, request a weekly benefit payment, view determinations, submit weekly work search activities and more. The dashboard displays a Claim Status Tracker and details about the most recently filed regular state unemployment claim.
For the security of the unemployment benefits system and your information, you must have a password associated with your unemployment claim account to be able to access online related services, such as, file an unemployment claim, request weekly benefit payments, etc.
From the GDOL main site look for the Check My UI Claim Status link. From there you can see your current status. Note That there's 2 applications, one for original UI (which denied you which is ok) and another for PUA. If you didn't do both then you need to do the second one. It's not automatic.
