The CES Leadership team is responsible for the revision, review, and approval of the Coordinated Entry Policies & Procedures Guide. The CES Leadership team reviews this document at least once annually.
The Coordinated Entry System (CES) connects people who are experiencing homelessness to housing opportunities in Chicago. The CES uses a standardized housing assessment to understand the needs of households and follows a prioritization plan to refer youth, individuals, and families to housing.
Coordinated entry is a centralized and streamlined system for accessing housing and support services to end homelessness in a community, and is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for all Continuums of Care (CoC) as stated in 24 CFR 578.7 (a)(8) of the Continuum of Care Program Interim Rule.

Chicago Coordinated Entry System. If a person is experiencing homelessness and needs to be assessed for permanent housing, they can complete or update an assessment by going to a Coordinated Entry Access Point.
