30 maj 2018 · There is the treble clef (the "G" clef you mention), the base clef ("F" clef), and the movable clef, which can be tenor, or alto, or anything. Up to recent times, there were more clefs. For singers, there were four different ranges; soprano, mezzo, tenor, and bass.
The treble clef is certainly the most used clef, it determines the position of the G note on the staff (stave ). From this reference, all others music notes will be placed before and after the G note.
