All employment as a teacher, whether directly or indirectly (i.e. independent contractor, private temporary company, etc.) with a TRS employer is subject to salary and service limitations as outlined in Georgia law and TRS policy.
Effective October 2024, Lead Teacher salary will be based on the State Salary Schedule for Georgia’s Pre-K Lead Teachers. Funding changes will be reflected in October’s payment. For August and September salary, refer to the August–September Salary Schedule.

Starting in October, teacher salary will be calculated on the FY25 State Teacher Salary Schedule. This scale is maintained by the Georgia Department of Education. DECAL is currently updating the scale to accommodate all of the Pre-K credential levels.
