3. The Funeral Prayer •The Sunnah of the funeral prayer are: •tahmeed (praising God), •thana (exalting God), •salawat (salutation to Prophet) and •dua (supplication) for the dead and for all Muslims. •The imam stands near the chest of the deceased. •A standing prayer, no bowing nor prostration.
The Janzah (Funeral) Prayer Unlike other prayers, the Janazah (Funeral) prayer does not include any ruku’ (bowing) or sujud (prostration). That is, the entire prayer is performed while standing, facing the Qibla (direction of Makka). Those who attend the Janazah prayer are encouraged to form at least three rows.

TALQEEN is to remind the dying person of the two SHAHADATS, (i.e. Ash hadu alla ilâha il-lal-laahu was ash hadu Anna Muham-madan Abduhu wa Rasuluhu). When the end nears the dying person's breath quickens, the knees becomes so weak that they cannot move, the nose becomes bent and the temples subside.
So a Muslim should die upon the pure and sincere worship of Allāh, not calling upon the Prophet, or those in their graves for aid, salvation or forgiveness. Islām should be presented to a dying non-Muslim, as this is a praiseworthy invitation and in accordance with Prophetic tradition.
