Fullscreen optimization converts exclusive fullscreen to flip model presentation mode, which should be nearly identical to exclusive fullscreen but allows easy alt-tab functionality. Problem with turning this mode off is that if the game only uses borderless window mode and has no true Exclusive FS, you'll lose Freesync.
