1 dzień temu · Here’s how to do it: Right-click on the shortcut of the game or app you want to enable or disable FullScreen Optimizations for. Select "Properties" from the context menu. Check or uncheck the box next to "Disable FullScreen Optimizations" to enable or disable the feature. Click on "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
This was because Microsoft tested and showcased a new global toggle early this year located in Display settings -> Advanced graphics settings (where the “use performance/low-powered GPU” section resides) but said toggle was never heard of again.
TLDR : Enabling "Disable fullscreen optimizations" from the exe compatibility settings fixed stuttering in fullscreen for me. I had been running my games in borderless fullscreen all this while, because fullscreen caused stutters even though freesync was on but switching to borderless solved it.
Fullscreen Optimizations bypass the DWM when the window is fullscreen, so long as nothing else is being drawn on top of it. It combines the fast switching and non-blocking nature of Borderless with the ability to bypass the DWM and disable v-sync, like Fullscreen Exclusive.
One such optimization is Fullscreen optimizations, or FullScreen Exclusive (FSE), which was created to give the application or game you are running full control of your desktop and display. If your application or gaming isn't running properly, you can enable or disable Fullscreen optimization.
