11 wrz 2020 · No, Mac does not allow for maximizing a window without going into the fullscreen mode which means it must exist on its own desktop. Sure, you can make a window bigger, and some people call that maximizing, but it doesn't hide the menu bar or title bar of the window, and is distracting.

Go to: Contents > LoL > Game. Right click "League Of Legends.app" and UNCHECK "Scale to fit below camera". Start a new game, select Fullscreen and choose your FULL desktop resolution (usually the one with asterisk*) and enjoy fullscreen even around the notch. This work both in Fullscreen and Borderless for me now.
You can go to System Preferences -> Dock uncheck "Double-click a window's title bar to minimize" and then, when you double click on the title bar in a window, it will maximize the window without going into full screen mode. I find it easier than having to hold down the option key and clicking on the green button.
