30 maj 2023 · I don't think there is a way to specifically prevent escape from exiting fullscreen - short of disabling the esc key altogether. Incidentally, the red button does not exit full screen, it closes the window. The green button exits fullscreen and is the equivalent of escape or Command-Control-F.
28 lip 2011 · Press ESC again and Safari exits full-screen mode. Often I press ESC several times to ensure something gets closed. I don't want Safari to exit full-screen mode when that happens. There is already a key command to exit full-screen.
For many apps, the tab key serves the same function as esc but certainly not all. The actual fix is to engage the vendor of the app (or designer of the web page that assumes an escape key is present) to get them to fix their app/design.

14 lis 2013 · Choose Safari from the drop down menu of offered applications (looks like the default list is applications which have been opened in the last three months). Enter the exact name of the menu item you wish to disable. In this case "Exit Full Screen".
