Windows 10 is overzealous regarding security settings. 2) UAC must be disabled (reduced to its minimum setting), and all installers shall be ran as administrator. 3) Use the No-CD patch.

Install the 9.1 updatel 3. Install the 9.1 nocd patch 4. Right-click the FS9.exe, select Properties 5. Select Compatibility mode, & select XP 6.
1 sty 2017 · The FS9 Optimization section which changes some numbers in your Roaming FS9.cfg file (Located in your Windows 10 C drive/Users/Your Name/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/FS9 folder). This greatly reduced my stutters.
16 mar 2022 · I’ve managed to resurrect most of my FS9 addons on Windows 10. The reason I did this was because I bought so many addons for FS9 back in 2009-2015 and I feel like I was putting them to waste if I didn’t use them at all.
19 lut 2021 · I have an Optiplex 7010 DT running a refurbed copy of Windows 10 Pro 64bit and the first time I installed FS9 it eventually worked perfectly after a few re-installs because Windows Defender was complaining. Eventually it would load normally and never crashed with addon aircraft.
7 sty 2023 · I have just aquired a new computer with the dreadful Windows10. I installed my FS9 as instructed in a forum on Flightsim (not in Program Files or PF (x86) and it works great. A few minor issues but nothing that is not being solved.
