Fritz, the landmark South End bar, is to close at the end of the year. Word has been circulating for weeks that the popular gay sports bar is to close. The rumors led the club management to post of the bar's Facebook page the following message:

17 paź 2013 · BosGuy sends his farewells to Fritz on Chandler Street, closing at the end of the year to make way for another South End type bistro. Fritz is my favorite place in Boston to watch a game and even though I’m always a fan of seeing new restaurant open, I’m torn and left with a bitter taste by its closure.
