18 mar 2020 · In this study, the phase change of water into ice was investigated in the channel with two parallel plates. The boundary condition of the walls are fixed temperature and below the freezing point of the water. The fluid temperature is specific at the entrance of the channel and the velocity profile is developed.
1 sie 2020 · The freezing process is experimentally investigated for a pressure-driven water flow (0.3 ml/min) through three glass microchannels with inner diameters of 500 μm, 300 μm, and 100 μm, respectively, using channel-wall temperature measurements synchronized with high-magnification, high-speed imaging.
24 mar 2020 · Here, we report the freezing and melting behavior of water (D2O) nanoconfined in architected silica-based matrices including Vycor glass and mesoporous silica SBA-15 and SBA-16 with pore...
28 lis 2016 · Our study demonstrates that the phase transitions of confined water in CNTs are extremely diameter-dependent, and freezing transitions as high as 138 °C for 1.05 nm metallic SWNTs were...
1 sty 2019 · As water flows through the externally cooled channel and its temperature decreases in the streamwise direction, freezing may initiate in the channel after it has entered into the outlet hub region, where the water temperature is lowest and where the freezing process cannot be visualized.
21 lut 2020 · Water expands upon freezing. What happens when water is cooled below 0 °C in an undeformable, constant-volume container?
1 sie 2017 · The drop of pressure in the chamber is not the drop experienced by the water, due to surface tension. A big chamber (with respect to the amount of water) or the continuous removal of water vapor might be important for freezing to occur.
