24 kwi 2017 · Unfortunately, Windows Vista upgrade to Windows 7 for free is not available anymore. I believe that closed around 2010. If you can get your hand on an old PC that has Windows 7 on it, you can use the license key from that PC to get a "free" legitimate copy of a Windows 7 upgrade on your machine.
27 kwi 2024 · If you have a 32-bit version of Vista, you can only upgrade to a 32-bit version of Win7. If you have a 64-bit version of Vista, you can only upgrade to a 64-bit version of Win7. To find out which one of these you can upgrade to, go to Control Panel>System and look at System Type.
If you're running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only upgrade to a 32-bit version of Windows 7. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. Otherwise, you'll need to use the Custom option to install Windows 7.
9 kwi 2016 · You would have to do a clean installation of Windows 10. Or you could do a two-step upgrade, from Vista to 7, then from 7 to 10, but I strongly recommend against that, since it doubles the risk of problems. Also note that you are *not* forced to do anything. You can continue to use Vista.

13 paź 2020 · Yes, you can upgrade from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate. But note that you can do 32-bit Vista to 32-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit to 64-bit only.
