15 maj 2019 · If the person picking up a repaired firearm for the individual who brought it to the licensee, a Form 4473 must be prepared and question 11(a) should be answered “N/A”. A background check must also be conducted on the individual picking up the firearm.
An ATF Form 4473 is also known as the Firearms Transaction Record form. Licensed firearm dealers must complete this form when they may a lawful sale. Failure to complete this form is a violation of federal law.
