If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career, this program is for you. You can be a member of the newest generation of EMTs and Paramedics. Our EMS programs are designed to allow you to obtain an EMS certification prior to obtaining your associate degree.
Paramedics work under the direction of a physician to act as the primary pre-hospital care providers in the health care system. They must first make a comprehensive evaluation of the patient’s condition and the overall situation. They may then need to provide immediate life-saving care.
The program, one of the largest and most respected, is accredited by the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of EMS, to conduct Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced EMT (AEMT), and paramedic training and education in the State of Ohio.
Emergency Medical Services Courses (EMS) | Columbus State Community College. This is the course pre-requisite for the paramedic certification program. Content will cover anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology relevant to providing advanced level emergency care.
