The river winds through the Rocky Mountain, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, and Grand Canyon national parks. We hike along it, swim in it, and skip stones in it.
Established on the banks of the beautiful Colo River by the Polish scouts over 70 years ago, Bielany has been a native campground ever since. It is maintained by the Polish Foundation in NSW and managed by Cassandra and Rick. We have flushing toilets and unisex hot showers.

White settlers were living on the bank of the Colo from early 1800s with the first land grants being made in 1804 on the banks near the mouth of the river where it joins the Hawkesbury. Significant other land grants were made in 1833.
