Free-to-Read Modern Japanese Fiction – Alison Fincher. You don’t need a lot of money or access to a great library to get started with Japanese literature. These short stories and excerpts are all freely available to read online! Some pages may require scrolling past introductory material.
Tadoku is very simple: reading a lot of books of your own choice at your own pace so you can take in Japanese without translating. Start with very easy books with many pictures, and you can actually enjoy reading in Japanese without using a dictionary.
Of course, they produce books under their own name as well, a large library of which is available for free on their website. NPO Tadoku Supporters also hosts events, courses, and lessons such as an online reading group, and you can attend some of them for free.
