29.7.4 Essentially, any person who becomes the registered proprietor of land under the Land Titles Act holds the land free from all ‘encumbrances, liens, estates and interests whatsoever’, except those that are registered or notified or those that are provided by law e.g. a statutory easement or a statutory charge.
