Get your High School Equivalency diploma (such as the GED® or HiSET®). Each of the seven counties that serve Lanier Technical College has locations to help adult learners to become successful and confident in the workplace and society. These classes are free!
CGTC’s Adult Education Division offers free Pre-GED® and GED®, ASVAB, and ACCUPLACER test preparation classes in the counties listed below. Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Dooly, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam and Twiggs counties.
Preparation classes for GaHSE options are free. Scholarships are available to assist with GED® Test fees and HiSET® Exam fees with the HOPE High School Equivalency (HSE) Examination Grant Program. Eligible Georgia residents can now apply for an award not to exceed $200 to cover the cost of a high school equivalency examination.
Georgia GED graduates may be eligible to free tuition in areas of study funded by the HOPE Career Grant. Cost of the tests is $46 each. The complete test costs $184. The GED is accepted for admission into Georgia’s public, private and technical colleges.
