  2. The English Skills Learning Center provides free English classes for immigrants & refugees in Salt Lake County. Classes are typically twice a week for 1.5 hours each time. We also provide free citizenship preparation classes, to help individuals prepare for the US naturalization test & learn English.

    Programs. We provide high-quality, free English language learning programs to low-income adult immigrants and refugees. Improving English language skills allows students to break through language and cultural barriers, which will ultimately improve their quality of life and strengthen our community as a whole.

  4. Monday – Thursday: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Open enrollment (enroll anytime!) Classes are held throughout the year, including in the summer. We offer English class levels 1-6 and they are all available in person with certain levels available online as well.

  7. English as a Second Language is eligible for the Mastering ESL Scholarship designed to financially assist students who are enrolled in English as a Second Language (ESL) courses at SLCC. This scholarship is worth up to $300 during the Fall 2024 semester.
