Play movies on Apple TV from iTunes on PC. If you have an Apple TV, you can use it to watch movies from your computer on your TV. You might need to convert some movies to work with Apple TV. Any video that plays on iPhone, iPad, or iPod is compatible with Apple TV. Go to the iTunes app on your PC.
Depending on the format, you can import it in the TV app on a Mac and then use home sharing to watch it on the Apple TV. I use VLC on Apple TV —> transfer the files on to the VLC app that uses ATV local storage and play it from there.
