The Ride Free permit allows seniors age 65 and over or individuals with disabilities under the age of 65 to ride at no cost on CTA, Metra, and Pace bus and rail service. Seniors and people with disabilities must be enrolled in the Benefit Access Program (BAP) administered by the Illinois Department on Aging (DOA).
Seniors and persons with disabilities who wish to qualify for the ride free transit benefit must apply using the Benefit Access Application and meet the eligibility requirements for benefits.
