18 kwi 2021 · In the case of F1 and F2 they sound better up to 75cm or 2.5 feet away from them, as for the F3 from 60cm (or 2 feet) away to 1.20 meters (4 feet) away (maybe less)… as acoustic suspension being close is the only way to have the best bass experience, all the deepness that these models offer disappears once you move away from them.

Is it advisable to have the box frequency (Fb) of a bass-reflex enclosure tuned to the F3 cut-off frequency? Any harm in doing that? F3 = 37Hz Fb = 31 Hz I would like to tune the enclosure to a higher frequency.....

21 wrz 2006 · Fb is the tuning frequency of the box as a system. It is affected by the size of the box, the tune of the port, and the properties of the driver. F3 is the point in the output response curve where the output is 3db down from the baseline. It doesn't necessarily have to be higher than Fb.
