26 lip 2011 · You could throw 60 GB worth of RAM at a program and it won't change its habits. Unless it is specifically to written use up all RAM possible (rare occurrences these days), there isn't anything Windows can do. All the OS can do is twiddle its thumbs and wait on the application.
19 paź 2012 · I recently installed Windows 7 Professional 32bits on my Macbook Pro using Boot camp. My macbook comes with 8gb RAM. However i just noticed that only 2.20gb of this is usable by Windows. Can anyone educate me why this is so and how i can increase it?
22 paź 2018 · Use Activity Monitor or the following command to keep an eye on memory usage: $ top -o CMPRS. From my experience, macOS starts to compress memory when the memory utilization is close to 80%. Try limiting the number of running apps to a low number, and restart or kill apps that consume excessive memory. Then your Mac should run as fast as it should.
