Temma's drawings appear to have been meticulously researched and are more detailed than others for the Wildcat I have been able to find to date. Best of all they are digitally generated so no de-skewing was necessary when importing them into CAD as reference for one of my projects.
UK publisher Valiant Wings Publishing has released Number 22 in its popular Airframe & Miniature series, entitled The Grumman F4F Wildcat (including GM F-1 & FM-2): A Complete Guide to Grumman's First Cat. The author is Richard Franks, and the illustrations are shared between Richard Caruana and Juraj Jankovic.
Grumman FM-2 Wildcat. Designated the F4F, its first flight took place in September of 1937. Fifty-four fixed-wing aircraft were ordered in 1939, and in 1940, the Navy decided that all future aircraft were to be built with folding wings.
1 sty 2022 · Posted January 4, 2022. Luckily the Top Drawings Grumman F4F Wildcat book came with drawings in 1/32 scale which will help with making the tail taller. First of all a blob of 20 thou plastic card was glued to the existing rudder with Tamiya White glue and reinforced with VMS Black supergoo.
