29 mar 2017 · Have not received the magazine for a long time. Tried calling several of the numbers on their website. Phones disconnected. Finally got through to their "subscription service" which informed me they were "out of business". No warnings of any kind. Referred the problem to Visa.
2 kwi 2017 · FlyRC still has a website (with the same cast of characters from the magazine) BUT they no longer have a connection to the (former) magazine --- they advise contacting Maplegate Media. As many have been finding out, any such attempts are mostly futile.
Maplegate Media, the publishers of Fly RC, RC Heli Pilot, and several other print mag's went out of business, closed their doors, email, and phones and essentially scattered to the wind. A couple of the folks that worked there as employees bought the name and plan on continuing an online presence on their facebook and web feed.
From that point of view, I would like to see all magazines go out of business. Renewed my subscription ($19.95) by Visa in mid-January. Have not received the magazine for a long time. Tried calling several of the numbers on their website. Phones disconnected.
