25 lip 2021 · Try this 8.5-mile out-and-back trail near Lincoln, New Hampshire. Generally considered a challenging route. This is a very popular area for backpacking, camping, and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are May through October.
This trail begins in Franconia Notch State Park and then enters into White Mountain National Forest. It is mostly wooded before rewarding you with a great view at the top. The upper section of the trail has a steep ledge that can be wet and dangerous at times.

Mount Flume ranks 25th on the list of 48 NH 4000' peaks. Flume Slide Route : The shortest way to reach the summit is a 4.8 mile route that includes the class 3 Flume Slide. Start at the hikers' parking lot (1400') off of US-3 just north of the Flume Visitor Center.
