The Flume Gorge (locally, just The Flume) is a natural gorge extending 800 ft (240 m) horizontally at the base of Mount Liberty in Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire, United States. Cut by Flume Brook, the gorge features walls of Conway granite that rise to a height of 70 to 90 ft (21 to 27 m) and are 12 to 20 ft (3.7 to 6.1 m) apart.

Stunning waterfalls, historic covered bridges, fun small caves and absolutely spectacular scenery! Flume Gorge completely blew us away on this breathtaking 2 mile loop through Franconia Notch State Park.
The Flume Gorge is a 2+ mile hike in Franconia Notch. It’s an easy hike along graded gravel trails and boardwalks. There is a $20 ticket fee, which is steep for a hike at a state park. But the Gorge is amazing and beautiful - a narrow channel of waterfalls and rapids between sheer cliff walls.
