26 lis 2018 · The Florida White has also achieved the rabbit world’s highest honor; ARBA Convention Best in Show. Accepted as a breed by the ARBA in 1967 by ARBA Judge Orville Miliken, the Florida White is an ideal show rabbit for the competitive breeder.
The Florida White rabbit was accepted as a breed by the ARBA in 1967. The breed originator was ARBA Judge Orville Miliken. He crossed an albino American Dutch, a white Polish and a small but "typie" white New Zealand and through progressive selection and line breeding obtained a strain of cobby and compact animals.

The Florida White is a relatively small breed rabbit originally produced for the laboratory or smaller meat rabbit. [1] They are all white in color with no other markings, and have Albino red eyes. They are a recognized American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) breed.
The Florida White breed was recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association in 1967 and won best in show ten years later. This cemented the popularity of Florida Whites among commercial breeders.
