Back in the late 90s, all of the 2000's and the 2010's females would often flatten their hair and straighten it, now I'm noticing females are wearing more perms now, or "blow-out" hairstyles and wolf cuts (according to what I read in a fashion magazine a few weeks ago).
The hair atop my head is usually flat because the length of the hair weighs it down. During my last visit to my hair stylist, I asked her about it and she just thinned it out. It didn't compromise the overall style of my hair, but I had more volume.
