24 lip 2020 · Hi Peter, Etcher GUI is based on the Electron framework, which only supports macOS (Yosemite) 10.10 and newer versions. If your MacOS version comes under this and then only you would be able to use Etcher for MacOS which explains the error message coming up.

16 wrz 2018 · How do I test them in Mac OS? It would be useful to be able to test the USB drives on my Mac without having to put them on an older, slower Linux computer. If there is a way that requires a software addition I would prefer not to have to compile to use it.
Macs are finicky and fail to identify 'faulty' devices. PC->Search "Disk" will give a better more robust tool. Some devices format SD cards as 64GB despite its larger size. For example my camera formatted 256 SD card as 64GB.
