28 maj 2014 · Putting aside the very prolific, privately acquired hats that Southerners wore, the quartermaster essentially issued two basic types: the Southern-made drab hat, and the imported British black hat. Two Rebel hats that embedded themselves in the imagination and lore of the Southern Confederacy as the quintessential slouch hat. Long may it endure!
