15 maj 2015 · I've found this (http://spyrestudios.com/html5-canvas-image-effects-black-white/) solution to work rather well outside of IE, which, as others have noted, you'll need to use filters for.
When I hover over the profiling button, then the icon turns black while the item is selected, but it should be white. NOTE: This is an accessibility issue. Expected behavior. Make the hovered profiling button on the selected item to use a white coloured icon for better visibility. Screenshots

23 lip 2012 · It's normal, see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=754133 If the background image wasn't white and the letters were gray as the tab background, your transparent PNG will be invisible. Read this answer in context 👍 1
20 paź 2022 · Super weird how they made the background black. You can revert to the old icon by copying this image: (right-click -> "copy image") Then "Get Info" on your FireFox.app. Click the Icon to highlight it
You can use psuedo-elements with a blending mode to recolor any icon that is 100% black or 100% white (background stays transparent). See my answer here: stackoverflow.com/a/39796437/1472114.
