The introduction of Eircode in Ireland marked a significant milestone in the country’s postal history. Ireland was the last country in the OECD to implement a national postcode system. The journey to establish Eircode began in 2005, when the Irish government decided to introduce a national postcode scheme.
Last updated on 26 May 2021. You can find any Eircode by searching an address or by locating it on a map on the Eircode Finder page. If you can’t find your Eircode, you should contact Eircode customer services. Access service here.
On the Eircode Finder, you can check the location of your Eircode, find other Eircodes, and on a smartphone use the Get Directions option to navigate to an address. You can also print the Eircode so that you can refer to it easily when you need to.
