View and restore past versions of documents on Mac. Many apps automatically save versions of documents as you work on them. At any time, you can browse through document versions and go back to an older version. You can also explicitly save a version.
Open the file you were working on. Select File > Info. Under Manage Documents, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions. Tip: You can also compare versions by selecting Compare instead of Restore.
If you're using Microsoft 365 for Mac, select the name of the document on the title bar of the application, then select Browse Version History. If you're using an older version of Office for Mac, select File > Browse Version History.
25 maj 2021 · The first step is to view previous versions of Word documents. The fastest way to do this is by clicking the file name in the top bar in Microsoft Word. Here, you'll need to select "Version History."

27 maj 2020 · To start, open the latest version of the document you want to recover. On a Mac, go to File > Browse Version History from the menu bar. On the Office website, go to File > Info > Previous Versions. After doing so, you'll see a panel showing all the previously saved versions of your current document.
