If you're playing for the story and narrative, the remaster is better. Plus it has great QOL improvements. If you want to sink your teeth in to the mechanics and enjoy the vision of the original, well, the original then. Purists will likely always say the original. To be sure the mechanics are the same.
Pros: Highly accessible (you can buy it right now), cheap, zero crashes, portable, playing speed can be increased to 3x, remastered models and text adjust most of the original designs for our current expectations.
