Treasure Hunt is an activity released in Patch 2.1. While gathering resources as Miner, Botanist, or Fisher at gathering points that are of level 40 or above, players have a chance of receiving Timeworn Maps. Players can Decipher these maps to receive a location where treasure can be found.

Is there any proof that it's a 1/4 chance for each of those events? I knew it was an RNG roll with illusion of choice, but I doubt those are the odds. For me, at least, it seems like a 60/40 open/close with either open/half close animation and if it closes, it seems like a 10% chance or so to be saved.
So, I wanted to see what the optimal strategy for gamblers lure in maps is. For those not aware, when you win a chest in a treasure map, you can gamble the chest to win another. You can do this (gambling all chests in the process) a maximum of five times. You gamble via a high-low game, using numbers 1 thru 9.
I ask the above topic because when my FC does maps(very rare, full party), the veterans seem to do very well. Upto 5 chambers at least once, warning red lights but you are allowed to the next chamber, etc.
In order to examine a timeworn map and later uncover buried treasure, players must first learn the actions Decipher and Dig. These actions can be acquired by completing the quest Treasures and Tribulations , offered by H'loonh in Wineport , Eastern La Noscea .
22 lis 2019 · First of all, if you’re using the treasure maps yourself, you’ll need to complete the quest Treasures and Tribulations to gain the actions to interact with them. This will let you decipher (right click > decipher) the map, and let you dig for treasure when you find the location.
