BELIEVE in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds - achievements won by the present and past generations of agriculturists; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years.

The FFA Creed outlines the organization’s beliefs regarding the industry of agriculture, FFA membership and the value of citizenship and patriotism. The Creed is recited by FFA members as part of the requirements to earn the Greenhand FFA Degree.

The FFA creed was written by E.M. Tiffany in 1928 and officially adopted by the National FFA organization in 1930. The creed was revised twice to form the current version. A new FFA creed was proposed in 1990 and overwhelmingly rejected by a committee of delegates to the national FFA convention.
The FFA creed is one of the oldest tra-ditions of the National FFA Organization. E. M. Tiffany wrote the FFA creed, which was adopted at the 3rd FFA Convention.
