It is recommended to complete class quests as they become available due to being a good source of experience. In addition, completing the Lv. 65 quest unlocks Manipulation for the respective class.

If you start as an Archer you will be directed to kill the beasts and then A Matter of Perspective will be your next quest. If you are unlocking Archer as a second class, you will simply talk to Luciane to complete this quest, and then proceed with the My First Bow quest.
To become a bard you must complete all the archer class quests to level 30 to include "The One that Got Away". ONce this is complete Luciane will offer you another quest called the "Song of Bards and Bowmen".
