Feeding Southwest Virginia responds to this need by distributing millions of pounds of food each year to those in need. The Food Bank provides food and resources to over 400 partner feeding programs, such as food pantries, mobile food programs, children’s programs, and programs for seniors.
As the leader in hunger relief in this region, Feeding America Southwest Virginia distributes more than 20 million pounds of food annually to nearly 400 partner agency soup kitchens, rescue missions and food pantries.
Here are three simple steps: 1. Find a food bank in your community. Use our search tool above to find a food bank in the Feeding America network. 2. Sign up for a volunteer shift. Most food banks list their available volunteer shifts on their website. 3. Show up and have fun.
