The Industrial Turbine is a multiblock generator used to produce energy if supplied with big quantity of Steam. It's currently the most powerful generator in Mekanism. The biggest Industrial Turbine can produce up to 668,570,000 J/t (267,420,000 RF/t).
Turbines are a set of blocks added by Advanced Generators. They are used to build the Gas Turbine Generator and Steam Turbine Generator multiblock structures. Each Turbine present increases the maximum amount of Redstone Flux (RF) the machine can generate per tick.
The Industrial Turbine is a modular multiblock structure added by Mekanism. Its sole purpose is turning Steam into power, using either Mekanism's own Joules or Forge Energy. Being highly customizable, it can be relatively small and compact, but also very large and expensive, and may therefore be...
Advanced Generators is a mod by bdew based around creating modular power generators. Its blocks are used to create free-form multiblock structures that can support multiple power systems. The resulting machines can be made in any shape and configuration.
This page lists the highest rated unattended turbine in terms of energy output per tick for each coil material, so that players can construct the most efficient turbine for the best coil material they can obtain.
With 50 Manyullyn turbines you're looking at 60k rf/t, if you can get 50 Enderium turbines you're looking at 80k RF/T. This will let you start running some of your basic stuff passively - Cloches, sieves, able to handle some of the more power hungry machines like NuclearCraft, etc...
Big Reactors turbines are a balancing act. The more blades you have, the more steam you can use per tick, and the faster the turbine will spin. Optimal turbine RPM is around 1850, but there are other sweet spots you can find. The different coil blocks govern how much RF/T the turbine will generate.
