5 sie 2019 · I have been running Fedora Media Writer and clicking the Restore button for the USB drive. However, the USB drive is not being recognized by Windows 10 once I finish. I have tried several options to recover the drive.
15 kwi 2020 · When I wanted to reformat it back and used "restore" in FMW, the flash drive is not recognized in Windows. It's not visible in file explorer (no drive, no letter), and it can't be fixed even using Disk Management (all actions report errors).
20 mar 2023 · Hi, you will not be able to use your USB drive unless it's again restored using Fedora Media Writer, you won't be able to even view what's on the drive as Windows will not recognize it.
20 kwi 2024 · Try simple fixes first if your USB pen drive has minor physical damage, like wiggling it back and forth or cleaning the USB port. Use the scan and repair features on Windows and Mac computers to fix non-physical damage. As a last resort, format your USB flash drive to restore functionality to it.
6 maj 2020 · Workaround: download XZ Tools and copy the files into the program installation directory, usually in x86 program files for windows. I confirm this workaround is working. Just copy files from the desired bin and paste it into the root of the Fedora Media Writer installation.
