Student Aid is a government service that provides student loans, grants, scholarships and awards to help you pay for your post-secondary education. Student aid may not cover all of your costs, so you’ll need to plan to make up the difference.
You can apply for both provincial and federal student aid on the Alberta Student Aid website. You only need to submit one application. Create a verified Alberta.ca Account to access the application system.
If you’re a full-time student, you’ll need to apply online. You’ll need a verified Alberta.ca Account to access the Alberta Student Aid system and get started. Student Aid Alberta can help you achieve your post-secondary education goals. Financial need should not be a barrier if you want to pursue a post-secondary education. If you are a full-time student and submit an application, you will be considered for student aid from both Student Aid Alberta and the Canada Student Loans Program.
