We developed metallic phosphide on carbon cloth (FeCoP-CC) as the air cathode for the Na O 2 batteries. •. The FeCoP-CC cathode improves the cycle life (200 cycles) and achieves a discharge capacity (2853 mAh g −1). •. The excellent catalytic activity of FeCoP reduces the overpotential of the Na O 2 battery to 200 mV.
