K1max mainboard fan control. I noticed that in the idle state my K1max mcu temp seemed quite high. The mainboard cooling fan is plugged into the 3 pin controllable fan port.
My K1 is on version 1.3.2.20 so it does seem like you’re behind. You can check for updates under settings in the printer.

Just completed a rear fan swap on a k1 max to a Noctua NF-R8 redux- 1800 80 x 80 x 25 using the Noctua NA-VC1 voltage converter. There's much less noise now and it was relatively easy to do.
