Latin insults were a basic part of Roman life, and they are also a great way to practice your Latin grammar. Given that insulting language is usually directed at another person, it gives you practice with the vocative and different noun forms. For example, "stulte!", "you idiot!"
Everybody shits, but calling someone a pooper is an insult. Everybody's a walking bag of crap, but describing a patient as a bowel-mover is provoking a fight. Being addressed as a stool excretionist is doubtless most insulting while you're taking a dump.
